Xcalak Fly Fishing
Vacations
Xcalak is
located
at the southern tip of the Yucatan about 250 miles south of Cancun. Xcalak and
Chetumal Bay are rated as one of the best flats and fly fishing locations in the world.
This area is truly a saltwater fly fisherman's paradise offering anglers Grand Slam
opportunities with Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon in the same day, as well as a variety
of other saltwater species.
Because of it's secluded location,
as most of us know sometimes it's not just about the fishing, it's about where
you are and enjoying your surroundings and the exploring new places. This area of the Yucatan is pure paradise! The area consists of miles of unspoiled wide open
pristine flats, smaller lagoons, and mangrove shorelines.
Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon
are on the flats all year long. Other species like Snook and Barracuda are
around also. An amazing location and the perfect choice
for your next fly fishing vacation.

The

fishing or light tackle, while fishing in Xcalak and
Chetumal Bay, you'll have the opportunity
to fish the most sought after saltwater species on
the flats, along with the possibility of a
Grand Slam with Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon caught on the same day!
A Super Slam is also possible with
the Snook that are in the area. This part of the Yucatan is well known as one of
the most popular destinations to land your slam or
super slam.
You will be guided on a custom flats
skiff with your local, experienced guide who will be
there to help you bring results to your day of fishing.
Your day will be spent exploring huge flats and
mangrove shorelines. If you are looking for a slam, this is your place. Fishing trips
include all gear fly or spinning tackle as well as
